Cunard has announced a significant update to Queen Elizabeth’s deployment plans. After a full review, the line has taken the difficult decision to cancel her 2027 Caribbean voyages scheduled between 29 December 2026 and 30 March 2027.

If you’ve been looking forward to a Caribbean escape on board Queen Elizabeth, this news will no doubt be disappointing. But here’s a clear breakdown of what’s changing, what it means for you, and what your options are next.

Which voyages are affected?

A total of 21 voyages have been cancelled:

Q701A, Q702, Q702A, Q702B, Q703, Q703A, Q703B, Q704, Q704A, Q704B, Q705, Q705A, Q706, Q706A, Q707, Q707A, Q708, Q708A, Q709, Q709A and Q710.

These sailings covered a range of Caribbean itineraries during the winter 2026–27 season.

What happens to my booking?

If you were booked on one of these voyages, here’s what will happen:

  • Your booking will be automatically cancelled.

  • A full refund will be processed back to your original payment method.

  • Any pre-voyage purchases (such as drinks packages, dining or shore excursions) will also be refunded automatically.

You don’t need to do anything to trigger this process. Refunds should arrive in line with Cunard’s usual refund timescales.

Options if you’d like to rebook

While the cancellations are unfortunate, Cunard has put together a couple of options if you’d like to rebook:

  • Save 10% on the voyage-only fare if you rebook a Queen Elizabeth sailing.

  • Or enjoy an additional US$50 per person onboard credit if you switch to a voyage on Queen Mary 2, Queen Anne, or Queen Victoria.

To benefit, you’ll need to rebook by 19 October 2025.

It’s also worth noting that Queen Elizabeth’s new Southampton sailings will be going on sale from 30 September 2025, so there will be fresh itineraries to consider.

Key dates to keep in mind

  • 30 September 2025 – New Queen Elizabeth Southampton itineraries go on sale.

  • 19 October 2025 – Deadline for rebooking with a saving or onboard credit incentive.

FAQs about the changes

Why have these sailings been cancelled?

Do I need to request my refund?

No – all refunds, including pre-booked packages, will be processed automatically.

What if I booked through a travel agent or tour operator?

If you booked via a travel agent, they’ll receive the information directly and can confirm the process with you.

When can I book Queen Elizabeth’s new itineraries?

Her Southampton sailings will go on sale from 30 September 2025.

What if I want to rebook on another Cunard ship?

You can – and if you do so before 19 October 2025 you’ll benefit from either a saving on Queen Elizabeth or onboard credit if switching to Queen Mary 2, Queen Anne, or Queen Victoria.
