Welcome to Cruise Escapes with George & Dan! We’re George and Dan, two cruise lovers from the UK who turned our passion for sailing the seas into a blog, vlog, and thriving cruise community.
Our journey into cruising started unexpectedly – after a last-minute holiday to Orlando was cancelled, we decided to book a cruise instead. From the moment we stepped on board, we were hooked! That one spontaneous decision changed everything, and we’ve never looked back.
Now, we travel the world by sea, sharing everything we’ve learned along the way – from expert cruise tips to ship reviews, destination guides, and behind-the-scenes vlogs.

Why We Do This
Cruising is an incredible way to see the world, but choosing the right ship, itinerary and cabin can feel overwhelming. That’s why we created Cruise Escapes with George & Dan.
Our advice comes from real experience. We know which side of the ship to book for Geirangerfjord, when a seven-night itinerary beats a 12-night one, and which excursions are worth skipping.
