Several of P&O Azura’s upcoming Canary Islands sailings have been updated, bringing a fresh mix of ports and a bigger focus on Morocco. These changes affect selected cruises from October 2026 through February 2027. If you’re booked on one of the impacted voyages, here’s a clear breakdown of what’s changed, why it’s happened, and what your options are.

Which Azura Cruises Are Changing

P&O has confirmed updates to the itineraries on the following sailings:

A641C, A642, A642A, A642B, A642C, A646A, A646C, A647, A647A, A647B, A647C, A702A, A702C, A703, A703A, A703B, A703C, A706A, A706C, A707, A707A, A707B & A707C

If you’re booked on one of these, you’ll stay on your original booking reference and travel on the updated itinerary automatically, with no extra cost.

What’s Changing Exactly

P&O is replacing some Canary Islands calls with ports in Morocco. Here’s a simple rundown of the swaps:

Late October 2026 Sailings

(A641C, A642 series)

• Gran Canaria removed

• Agadir added (28 October 2026)

Late November 2026 Sailings

(A646/A647 series)

• Funchal, Fuerteventura and La Palma removed

• Agadir (30 Nov), Casablanca (1 Dec) and Gran Canaria (3 Dec) added

January 2027 Sailings

(A702/A703 series)

• Funchal, Fuerteventura and La Palma removed

• Lanzarote (24 Jan), Agadir (25 Jan) and Casablanca (27 Jan) added

February 2027 Sailings

(A706/A707 series)

• Funchal, La Palma and Fuerteventura removed

• Casablanca (22 Feb), Agadir (23 Feb) and Gran Canaria (25 Feb) added

These changes bring a stronger Moroccan flavour to Azura’s winter programme, reflecting the growing popularity of North Africa among P&O guests.

Why the Itineraries Are Changing

P&O has said the goal is to add more variety and respond to high interest in Morocco. Rather than sticking with the usual Canary Islands pattern, these sailings now offer a mix of Atlantic sunshine and cultural city stops.

What Happens If You’re Booked

If you already have a cabin on one of the affected cruises:

• You stay on the sailing automatically

• Your fare does not change

• Your booking reference stays the same

• You’ll receive an updated confirmation soon

Shore experiences for ports no longer visited will be automatically cancelled and refunded. New excursions for Agadir, Casablanca and Lanzarote will appear on My P&O Cruises in the next few months.

If You Don’t Like the New Itinerary

You have flexibility here.

• You can transfer to another sailing free of charge

• Or cancel completely with no fees

• Deadline for changes: 17 December 2025

This applies even if the new cruise you choose is longer, shorter or a different value. It’s a rare chance to switch without the usual admin restrictions.

Final Thoughts

These updates give Azura’s late-2026 and early-2027 programme a fresh and more varied feel. Morocco brings warm weather, vibrant markets and impressive beaches, so the tweaks could be a pleasant surprise for many guests. If you prefer the classic Canary Islands run, the free transfer window gives you plenty of breathing room to pick something that fits.

As always, keep an eye on My P&O Cruises for updated timings and excursions as they’re released.
